Hi Carlitos,
Basically, ZoneX forums are not optimized for any other forum installation except for phpBB 2.0.17. If you already have phpBB 2.0.17 forum installed on your system you can upgrade it to ZoneX 1.0. Currently, upgrade option will work only with phpBB 2.0.17 version - therefore, before proceeding with upgrade, ensure that you have correct version of phpBB.
Unfortunately ZoneX forums are currently not familiar with Mambo CMS or any other, but ZoneMetrics Development team will work to add new and improve old features.
As I can see, this Mambo forum module also use a phpBB engine for their forums. ZoneX is also based on phpBB code. However, if you’re skilled php programmer you could at least try to implement ZoneX forums to your portal site.
Regarding your question about SEO, the answer is - yes the URLs are automatically produced (using mod_rewrite) and optimized for SE!
The solution for you is to install ZoneX on completely different URL, to test it and to try to migrate only your MySQL database (all posts, users, etc). Later when you test everything you can redirect from your old forums to new one. |
